Oh sh!t, I've got bowel cancer: Part One: Diagnosis and treatment diaries
Barrow, David; Bowel Cancer UK
ITGP
, 2025
; English
; 206 Pages
A portion of the proceeds from every purchase of the book will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK (reg.
Charity no: 1071038). David, also known as Dar, was a 47-year-old male cancer patient who thought he had a bothersome tummy ache.
That tummy ache turned out to be colorectal cancer. This book documents his journey from feeling poorly to going to the GP and ultimately learning that he has descending colon cancer. And all the SH!T that brings with it. David started writing diary entries as a form of journalling.
At the time, he was awaiting his diagnosis, and initially, it served as a simple yet powerful tool to help him navigate his overwhelming emotions.
Putting his thoughts on paper became a sanctuary where he could express his fears and hopes freely, supporting his mental health during a time when he felt completely out of control. As David progressed through his experiences, he reflected on how the intimate journalling practice profoundly impacted his well-being.
It helped him articulate feelings he had previously struggled to express, fostering a crucial connection to himself during that tumultuous period. Now, he shares these diaries with you, dear reader, in the hope that it provides support and perspective to those facing similar challenges or those supporting someone who is. This book is a resource for everyone – whether you are facing cancer or supporting a loved one on their journey.
We sincerely hope that within these pages, you will find insights, comfort and understanding about this complex disease and its often overwhelming impact on our lives. Each shared story and lesson learned can be a beacon of hope and support during an incredibly challenging time.

Dramatically honest : how to own your authenticity in the workplace
Hussey, Sophie
ITGP
, 2025
; English
; 290 Pages
We live in a world that is more connected than at any other time in history yet there is a distance through the interaction with technology, and, of course, there are societal and cultural pressures to conform. It is these pressures that can result in a feeling of disconnection or of not belonging.
The book is broken into chapters to work through the idea of authenticity. They are designed to take you on a journey from understanding what being authentic means to focusing on the practical applications of how to be you at work.
Within each chapter is a story that adds a real-life example of a barrier being met. Not all stories result in a happy ending where the goal of being authentic is realised, but from each story, there is a lesson that was learned.
Be bold, be brave, be you!
“I found this book challenged me to think deeply about my values and what being authentic really means – and I hope you do too.”

Pattison, Andrew
ITGP
, 2025
; English
; 89 Pages
The NIST CSF (Cybersecurity Framework) 2.0 is designed to protect organizations from cyber attacks. Although the CSF was developed to help US organizations involved in infrastructure to systematically organize their critical activities and ensure they remain up to date, Version 2.0 states that "The CSF is designed to be used by organizations of all sizes and sectors, including industry, government, academia, and nonprofit organizations, regardless of the maturity level of their cybersecurity programs." NIST 2.0 is an effective and flexible framework that is well-known across the US, and increasingly across the rest of the world. It also aligns closely with ISO 27001 and ISO 22301, and all three standards can operate concurrently.

Build a cybersecurity program, adapt an existing one, or review existing security practices
Integrate the NIST CSF 2.0 with other frameworks such as ISO 27001 and ISO 22301
Organizations that comply with the NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, and ISO 22301 demonstrate their commitment to cybersecurity to current and prospective stakeholders.

Allyship actually: why it’s ‘we’ and not ‘me’
Barrow, David; Grimwade, Lucy
ITGP
, 2024
; English
; 293 Pages
The Oxford Learner's Dictionary defines allyship as:
"the state of being an ally (= a person who helps and supports somebody) to a particular group of people that you yourself do not belong to, in order to help ensure their basic rights and ability to be happy and successful in society"
This book exposes the problems that arise from a patriarchal or narrow-minded work culture. It tells the story of professionals in multiple industries where they are confronted by male dominance or discrimination. We see how characters become allies for each other to support personal and professional development.
Allyship Actually follows Lucy - a spirited newcomer to the tech industry - and David - a seasoned professional - as their paths and those of other characters cross in unexpected ways, against a bustling London backdrop.
The characters' careers develop amid toxic cultures. Based on real-life events, the narrative gives a vivid depiction of Lucy and David's frustration with outdated work cultures, and their efforts to support colleagues suffering inequity or harassment.
